Nigel Stagg —
Not All Pain Screams about grief, fatherhood, and mental health.
I lost my partner. I raised my two children alone through grief I didn't fully understand or cope with at the time.
I did what most men of my generation do. We push it aside, build walls, don't talk. I carried everything in silence for longer than I should have — because that is what I believed men were supposed to do.
Until I couldn't any longer.
Writing became the place where I could finally be honest.
The Not All Pain Screams Trilogy is three books of poetry about grief, fatherhood, anxiety, and the long slow process of learning to be truly known. They were written in the middle of the night, on school runs, in therapy waiting rooms, and on long drives where the mind travels further than the road.
They are not about performing strength.
They are about what happens when the performance ends — and who you find yourself to be in the quiet that follows.
Three books. One journey. Launching [SOON].
